We are constantly want to make Feedreader better and better. In this forum users are talking mostly about small additions to Feedreader. But at the same time we'd like to add some bigger features, too. Features what are not small usability additions (like "add configuration option to notification dialog") but REALLY NEW FEATURES POSSIBLY NOT EXISTING IN OTHER READERS.
So in this thread you can do some brainstorming and let's see if something interesting comes out :).

I have been using FeedReader for at least 5 years, and I am currently using FeedReader 3.14 on Windows 7.
Feedreader requests an extremely short timer tick interval (1 msec vs default of 15.6 msec) that interferes with deep processor C-States and can literally cut the battery life of a laptop in half. These short timer ticks are usually not necessary, or they can at least be switched on/off for a short period while necessary.
Warning from "powercfg /energy":
Platform Timer Resolution:Outstanding Timer Request

Two suggestions for the notification window (the window that appears when new articles are available, and disappears after some seconds):
Hello,
I typically use the 'classic' reading pane style so i can scroll\browser feeds before reading one. It would be nice to have a button to expand to full screen reading and back again though so i'm not constantly dragging the splitter bar up\down.
There is a shortcut key for this Alt+3, Alt+1 but a button next to 'open in browser' would be good.
When 3.14 was released I must admit, the searching within feeds became much more faster and it did not crash as much. You guys did a great job with it.
One thing that frustrates me is that FR has so much potential, yet not that much stuff is being done with it, the lack of constant updates and the needs of some basic features will probably make me switch from FR to another program.
Hi,
I would appreciate the following keyboard shortcut in this typical situation
-I usually use the standard view
-I browse the "news list" with the keyboard watching the news title and the summary in the minibrowser
-I choose to have a closer look at one news article by pressing enter
-I would like to scroll the mini-browser without leaving the news list (such as in Apple mail with page-down or Lotus Notes with Alt-Page down)
Thanks and best regards
Vincent
Hello,
I very much like Feedreader's ability to create smart feeds. I use them to filter out only those messages that are really of interest to me.
I find only one disadvatage to the system. I still see all the other messages I am not interested in, and have to mark those as Read.
I would like to have the opportunity to "hide" such a "master" feed, and have messages that do NOT appear in any smart feed based on it be marked read automatically.
