"Busy Updating" icon never stops

In 3.09 of FeedReader:
.
If I right-click on a feed and select "update feed", the feed gets updated. While that is happening, the "Busy Updating" icon (bottom, left) spins. When the updating has stopped, so does the spinning.
.
If I right-click on folder which contains a number of feeds and select "update feed", the feeds ALL get updated. While that is happening, the "Busy Updating" icon (bottom, left) spins. The updating finishes after a while, but the spinning icon never stops.
.
I am running on Windows XP SP2

I have the same problem, but

I have the same problem, but it's not the only effect.

If this happens (after 1-20h of running feedreader) the cpu time of feedreader increases to 90% (and it realy eats it, system slows down). I have to close and reopen it to get rid of the problem.

It happanes with 3.09 and more often with 3.10, so I switched back.

I also have XP (Pro) SP2, I run about 32 feeds with 2h update period and one Unread News Smart feed.

I couldn't find any dependency to any other program I run (thought so with diskkeeper, but the problem still exists after I removed diskkeeper).

If I can do anything to help finding this problem, tell me.

Regards,
Christian.

3.10 does not resolve problem

I have downloaded and tried version 3.10 Beta.
The problem is exactly as it was previously.

I hope that we got the bug

I hope that we got the bug and fixed it. Wait for 3.10 development version... :)

Still not fixed on the second 3.11 Beta

Hi,

This problem is still not resolved at 3.11 Beta (2nd one).

Also, there is a general lack of being able to answer the question "where is FeedReader up to" when updating a folder-full-of-feeds !!!

Suggestion..............

What is really needed here is:
1: That the spinning symbol should STOP when the updates are complete
2: That FeedReader, itstead of utterinmg "Found 1000....." as it progresses, should say something useful, like "Checking feed [feedname] for updates".

In the mean time, I have started using TCPView (from www.sysinternals.com) to keep an eye on FeedReader updates... when the socket connections stop being renewed, I know that FeedReader has finished!
It would be nice if FeedReader would tell me, however!

Improvements LOST

This seemed to improve for a while with 3.11 Beta3 (October 1) with some more useful messages.

With 3.11 Beta4 (October 24) however, these improvements seem to have been lost and we are back to the relatively meaningless "Found 1000....." messages.
