IE errors when clicking feeds, sometimes, in 3.07

Since my upgrade from version 3.06 to 3.07, I sometimes get a "IE Error Access denied" error dialog when clicking feeds, smartfeeds or folders. I can't find a pattern in when the error is displayed.

OS: Windows XP Pro SP2

Fixed

I fixed the problem by getting all the latest Windows Updates. There were quite a bunch installed (I don't like automatic updates), so I'm not sure which one fixed it.

IE errors when clicking feeds, sometimes, in 3.07

I have the same prob. And I had it with almost every feed I added from the start. 3.07 is the first version of FeedReader I heard of and the first I try. I like it and I'd like to give it a try, so I will try to help tracking these bugs. Here's an example of link I experienced problems right now: http://operafan.net/index2.php?option=com_rss&feed=ATOM0.3&no_html=1

What do you think - do those

What do you think - do those feeds contain some embedded flash videos or other objects? Also - are you using web view or this normal layout.

Maybe you can give some feed links from where you encounter such errors.

Also - I found a Microsoft Help page about this problem (i hope it's the same we are talking here)

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889407

The error that's displayed

The error that's displayed isn't as extensive as described in the Knowledge Base article. It's a simple popup dialog with one line of text. I'm a little reluctant to install the hotfix, even if I would get it from MS support.

I've also found the pattern. After reading an article, clicking whatever other feed or folder in the navigation pane. It doesn't depend wether the previous article has any images or embedded content. This happens is all layouts, except for the full one.

Every feeds gives the error, for example
- http://feeds.engadget.com/weblogsinc/engadget
- http://www.lifehacker.com/index.xml
