Does anyone know why I am receiving numerous of the same articles through via RSS? Sometimes I am getting up to 15 of the same article staggered out over a period of a few hours, it's driving me mad.

I get it with just about any feed. Two examples are CNNMoney.com and InformationWeek.com. Wall Street Journal was doing it, too, but I am no longer subscribing to that feed.
the time stated next to the articles all state that they were sent at the same time but they only appear at staggered times... and when i delete numerous of the duplicates, it only reduces my unread articles count by one so it everything points to the fact there is just one article yet i see numerous duplicates :S

I still think that these articles are individual articles in database. Sometimes contents of article changes (and changes multiple times). If feed is not technically built up well then this kind of duplication can occur. This is because Feedreader (and other RSS readers) do not know that this is the same article as before.
Can you just tell me what's the problematic feed and I can check out what can be the problem.

I got the same with 3.08 (installed today) and mostly but not only the "Reuters Top News" feed which you can find here: http://feeds.reuters.com/reuters/topNews/
All headlines are at least twice on my liste, some even three. Whats the most annoying is that I get notifications about already read and not even actual new (but still duplicate feeds) also.
The easiest way to avoid that is imo simply to put a filter on duplicate titles.
How does one put a filter on the feed? I don't see any option for that. The user guide says nothing about filters. When I search the site for "filter" (or for anything else), I get "Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator." I am working with the site owner to resolve that error, but if you could direct me to a filter step-by-step I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Old feed items become "new" again - and thus become duplicates
Experienced using version 3.08
I have seen some feeds where an item is picked up as new every time the feed is updated. After checking the XML for those items it appears that the item text has not changed but the item "author" has linked in some advertising site which changes its link every day. Thus Feedreader picks up the same item every time as new or changed. Mind you feed reader does highlight the item as a duplicate.
Is this an issue with Feedreader or with the RSS feed?
