Ability to blog an item from FeedReader

I believe this was in a previous version of FeedReader: the ability to blog something I am viewing directly from FeedReader. Right now (correct me if I'm wrong!) I have to open a news item, go to its original website, and then blog from there.

To take it a step further, you might take a page out of Flickr's notebook and allow us to set up blog posting (including passwords) once in FeedReader and then all we need do is select which blog we are posting something to. If you need more description on how that works from the user's end, let me know.

Thank you!

New features + blogging = ecto

You asked us to suggest features that are something new and not only related to RSS reading. So here goes. A nice feature would be to add client side blogging abilities, something like ecto does.

Now you are killing us

Now you are killing us ;).... The problem is that developing a decent blogging interface/functionality is not a some days effort. And if we go to this way we get mediocre reader and mediocre blogging client. So we do not want to do it. First of all we want to have the best RSS reader and if all the possible features are done we move on to blogging client :).

But just for information - I have thought about special stylesheet with blogging capabilities. stylesheet what contains a form with necessary fields and ability to POST to some blogging service. So if there is some HTML/web programming/AJAX guru then it's possible to create stylesheet what fills some gaps.

It need not be a

It need not be a full-functioning blog interface. What I am talking about is a screen from which I can use the Blogger "Blog This!" button in my tool bar (or equivalent bookmarklet) to post a link about the RSS feed item I am viewing. I think the previous incarnation of FeedReader had it, which is why I am asking. Right now I have to go and open that post or article in another browser screen from the original website to blog it. I didn't have to before.

Cheers,
Connie

You wanted ideas for something new...
