Cannot find tip page (165), file tra.cpp

OK, I've read all the usual "Application cannot start..." posts but there are no postings about not being able to find a "tip page". Here's the two error messages I get at start up...

Application cannot start (16). internal gds software consistency check (cannot find tip page (165), file tra.cpp line: 2444)

Access violation at address 006F7B56 in module 'feedreader.exe'. Read of address 00000001C

Nothing ever actually starts. I get a brief ghost of what might be a new program window then it's gone. I've run the repair database bat file. I've tried every combination of check-offs under the "feedreaderbu" file. I've even completely uninstalled everything thing and downloaded version 3.13 for a fresh start.

No good... it still can't find the "tip page"

What else can I do?
Thanks

I'm having the same issue

I'm having the same issue and I have no idea. I've used the backup utility and it detects the issue and says the following.

Please wait...

Performing garbage collect ...

#Process: C:\Program Files\FeedReader30\gfix.exe -mend -full -ignore -user sysdba -password ************* "C:\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Feedreader\rssengine.fdb" ended

Although when I start up feedreader I get the same issue again within an hour. The backup utility doesn't even do anything, if I restart the program itself it's fine for a little bit but again, I still end up encountering the problem. I tried uninstalling the program, restarted my computer, ran registry cleaners such as ccleaner's and regseeker and reinstalled feedreader 3.12 and that helped nothing. I didn't have any problems like this until I upgraded to 3.13 the other day.

EDIT: It just hit me.

I have vista so the folder might be a little different for you, but.. I just deleted "C:\Users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Feedreader" and when I use the backup utility it doesn't find any errors. That would make sense as it seems to not be deleted when you uninstall the program. Your feeds will be gone if you do this, so be sure to find out how to back them up beforehand.
