Recently installed feedreader in office.When trying to add feeds i get Socket error.The system has McaFee protection.Any idea how to make it working.

do you use software based Firewall; Mcafee has also firewall ? Check does FR has access to network. Socket error displays also errorcode. Could you write this down.
To test connection in FR take:
Tools-> Options Connection Test Internet Connection.
