Hi, I am a huge fan of FeedReader and have been using it for a long time. :)

I got my first problem with it. After a normal reboot of my computer I get a error dialog that says:

Title Bar: Starting...
Error Window: Application cannot start (18). internal gds software consistency check (can't continue after bugckeck)

There is a OK button, I click it and it goes away and FeedReader does not start.

Can you please help me understand how to get rid of this problem?

If not then any idea how I can atleast get my opml file out, that would be a real loss to lose my RSS subscription lists.

Hi, Just wanted to add that with help from the feedreader team I was able to fix it.

I clicked on the FeedReader Backup Utility, choose only the Fix Possible Database Errors check box (unchecked all others), and clicked on Start and after a few minutes when the process was done I was able to start feedreader again!

I'm getting the same problem starting a couple of days ago. I'm running on Vista business on a new laptop. It was working fine until a couple of days ago then this exact issue happened as described by akaushik

uninstall/reinstall doesn't help

at least i've got an opml file - but i'm mising my feed fix every day. I might try working in vmware as a workaround until I hear something
