Error - Internal GDS software consistency Check

I have installed Feedreader 3. I have Vista Home Edition running on my system. Before installing the newer version, Feedreader used to work ok (I used to get some errors then also but I could read news articles). However, since the time I have installed the newer version, I am getting the following error:

" A error occured in Program.
internal gds software consistency check (can't continue after bugcheck"

Feedreader completely halts after this. Moreover, I don't even understand what this means!! Can someone please help?

Feedreader BackupUtility Is Useless in fixing Internal GDS Error

Hi,

Like a lot of other users, your Feedreader Backup Utility did not fix the Internal GDS Software Consistency Check. I ran it under every possible combination of checkbox ticks and un-ticks. I ran it with everything unchecked except Tidy, and all the other methods. It did nothing.

Next, I fully uninstalled Feedreader, and reinstalled 3.14. The same error occurs as soon as it's installed.

Next, I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7, and completely re-installed it again. And guess what? It STILL doesn't work!

So, with all due respect i-Systems, is there a fix, or should we give up on the software as a waste of time?

Please use Feedreaderbackup to fix the database. Please make sure that you uncheck "tidy up" and then let it run.

Application cannot start (21). internal gds software consistency

Hello Toomas,
I too get "Application cannot start (21). internal gds software consistency check (can't continue after bugcheck)" as an error whenever I run FeedReader 3.14.

Sometimes I get "Application cannot start (18)" instead of (21).

I have run the Feedreaderbackup utility dozens of times to fix the database. I have run it with all unchecked except for "Fix Possible Errors", and with all checked except for "Tidy Up". I have also tried simply "Restore From Backup" on it's own. None of these work. None of these combinations of attempts work. I still get the error and the program is useless for it.

I am running Vista Home Premium, SP1.

Please explain how I can get Feedreader working again without losing my Feed subscriptions (I don't really care about the articles, just the subscription URLs).
