My notification pop-up works perhaps 10% of the time (i.e., seldom) and the updates are generally too slow when a quick notification is necessary. Hmm that's strange I can remember that I used it once with feedreader 3.11 firebird and I got a a pop up box with red font in the middel of the screen when new important messages arrived...idk
