database clean up super slow on quadcore

the database clean up wizard takes over 15minutes to clear out just a few 1000 articles, i can see the number of articles dwindle 1 at a time, almost 1 per second, is this normal?

feedreader 3.12, running on a Quadcore Q6600, 3gigs of ram, windows vista home premium.

i'm going to dual boot back to windows xp to see if the problem also occurs.

just use the mysql beta it

just use the mysql beta it takes 1 minute on my quad core to clean up 20000 articles

same problem in windows xp, using feedreader 3.11 not 3.12

so i installed v3.13, the clean up speed is not much improved only 10 articles removed per second and barelly uses 30% of the cpu.
