as below
Greetings,
I can't currently give no good answer, in next week new release is done, different row locking is used. With MYSQL and INNODB there could be problematic long transactions. In next week application debug information option is also added.
So until next week-:)

when started to test mysql
when started to test mysql edition i noticed that my pc responded badly when FR was running...i did set the parameters to above original settings to gain performance...then we sort of fixed the "query performance issue" and i went back to original settings...now i want to run FR with "high settings" to gain extra performance...but then we have a bigger problem...
the thing is that FR and the database take over the PC...mysqld-nt.exe has priority "normal", when starting up in a normal case with other apps this priority should not affect the PC..but in FR case it behaves like it has the priority setting above or high and as you know when one application has this high priority the other apps is not responsive during that time (when high CPU)....
so what to do ?
one thing is of course to have innodb_buffer_pool_size to a very low value but then you will have a slower query performance !!
i have now set this value to high 600 M (also tried everything between 90 and 800)
i did some reading and one suggestion was to lower the priority on mysqld-nt.exe
from normal --> low and that solve the issue with taking over the hole PC..so now when mysqld starts up i have to lower the priority. this is not of course the best idea since when FR is updating or whatever it does..it becomes very unresponsive itself, but it seems to be the only solution right now...it's impossible for me to run with priority "normal" then i can't use my PC...
so what to do ? in "old" FR when the db went a little slow, i deleted all articles and compacted the db and sort of restarted..but is'nt this the whole idea with a more professional DB backend...to be able to have a lot of feeds and articles ??
Feedreader has become my number ONE most important application so i'm very interested to get things running sort of perfectly...why is FR so harsh to my environment ? do i have to buy a dedicated db server with dual processors ?
or is it something you can handle and fix ?
now i have +1000 feeds and + 185 K articles in the DB and counting, what happens
when reaching the double...then my guess is that you cant use it at all
anyway i really really hope you have a suggestion or something that ease up the appending of new articles into the database
