How to Reduce FDB File Size to About 500 kB?

Hi everyone,
?
with FeedReader (FR) I can synchronize my FDB database file for example with an FTP server. When I close FR it automatically uploads the FDB file. However, right now that feature isn't that usable for me. My FDB file's size is about 5 MB and with a completely free connection I upload about 120 kB/s. So a single upload takes about 40 seconds. When I close FR I'd like the upload to take a few seconds. At most. It'd be even better if the upload was instantaneously. But I'd settle for a few seconds for now.
?
I don't just go get a connection with a faster upload so I figured I'll go the other way round and reduce the FDB file's size. I'd like to reduce it to about 500 kB. How do I do that?
?
Here's what I've tried so far. There's a backup utility in the FR installation folder. It allows you to delete unnecessary articles in your FDB file. I ran the backup utility and now I've got about 100 articles instead of about 1,000. The file went from 8-point-something MByte to 5-point-something.
?
How do I get rid of the rest so that the FDB file is about 500 kB in size?
?
PS: I've considered using FeedReader Connect (FRC) instead of FR. However while it more or less synchronizes articles, it does not synchronize newly added feeds. And even if I forget about that I have other issues with FRC. See this topic for details: http://www.feedreader.com/node/1272

I'd like a solution that works with FR.
