High CPU Usage

It's a very good program, and allowed me to be the first to respond to craigslist items.
But, every 15 minutes or so, FeedReader sucks up all of the CPU power, it's in 90%.
The computer becomes very slow to repond.

Is this a known problem ?

I am running XP SP2, w/ newest updates. 1GHz PIII, 700MB memory, lots of free HD.

I have only a 4-5 filters, 3 feeds from craigslist and I store 300 articles.

Seems fine so far except for one little annoyance. I have a feed open, I click on one of the topics so that it opens in the viewer pane, there are more topics I haven't read, I click on More > Mark Read or right click on Feed and select Mark Read then I get an error box coming up saying "IE error access is denied", I click OK and dismiss the error box then all topics are marked as read and I can continue. If no topics are clicked on in a feed so that nothing is in the viewer pane then when selecting Mark as Read no error message is generated. This seems to be repeatable.

Yes, Feedreader3 is not licensed under GPL any more. Also - before you ask ;) - Feedreader3 is written from scratch, there is really no connection between pre3 and Feedreader3 versions.

Why isn't Feedreader available on Sourceforge download page? Isn't it open-source any more, or have you canged the project's page?

You do not have to uninstall old one. Just install new one - it will be installed over existing Feedreader.

how to update ?

I tried going to Help menu to find "Update" like I did with other softwares but I couldn't. So whenever I want to get a new version (for example ver 3.07) i have to uninstall the old one (3.06)first. This makes me a little annoyed.
So how do i update FeedReader ?

We are announcing Feedreader 3.07 today.

Changelog for 3.07:

New Enclosure Browser feature
If newsfeed contains enclosures/podcasts then Feedreader asks user if podcasts should downloaded automatically
All items with enclosures now show their download status : Not downloaded, In download queue, Downloading, Downloaded, Erroneous
Possible to increase and decrease font size in Feedreader window from application
Some users have complained about the fact that Feedreader is brought into foreground if notification window is displayed. I hope we have fixed this.
Easier feed subscription from Firefox. Earlier Feedreader versions were a little bit buggy then talking about this feature. Now Feedreader should subscribe to feeds nicely if autodiscovery button is pressed in Firefox.
Fixed some problem what occurred when upgrading to Internet Explorer 7
Fixed some bugs in enclosure/podcasts downloading. Persons who are using Feedreader to download podcasts should update to 3.07 soon.
