Window focus changes with embedded videos

This isn't a new problem in 3.06 but I held fire reporting it in the hope it might be fixed in this release :)

When reading I generally use classic layout and scroll through the feeds in the upper window and open anything by double clicking if it takes my interest.

I've found certain feeds (generally with embedded youtube videos) change the focus from the top pane to the bottom one, so your scolling then scrolls the bottom pane instead.

I get this a lot with the Jalopnik feeds, e.g. http://www.jalopnik.com/index.xml which I don't recall adding so is probably one of the default feeds when you install feedreader. Also Motoring File http://feeds.feedburner.com/Motoringfile currently has one entitled "Truth About Cars Drives the 2006 MCS" which changes focus with no embedded video.

Maybe it's just the way I read, keyboard rather than mouse, but it's a bit of a pain keep moving focus back to the top window to continue article reading.

Thanks for "dbdirectory=" option. This is necessary feature. May be add it to command line option ?
e.g. "feedreader.exe p=.\data\DailyBase\"

When i update the feedreader to 3.06 and afterwards update my feeds, i found most of my feeds which was created earlier are shown under 'today'. Feedreader should sort the feeds according to the date. i think it is not sorting this weeks feeds. on which mail id i should send you the snapshot

Thanks a lot, i creted a smart feed for Unread articles and is working good.
Another issue, feed is not reading date properly. When i update the feedreader to 3.06, and update i found the feedreader is showing earlier dated feeds under today. might be possible feeds are bnot getting update, but it happened with my feeds.

Interesting that it does not show. But you can recreate it yourself, too. Just create "new smartfeed" and then in smartfeed conditions specify:

Article status > is > Unread

'Unread feed' is not showing

Hi, i just installed Feedreader 3.06.
In earlier versions there was a feed named Unread Feed, which was really a good feature. to my surprice the latest build it is not displaying it. Is there any setting for the same.

Extra fields in miniviewer..

I was wondering if there were any new plans for implementing the 'extra fields' I had mentioned a while back. By this I mean the ability to display something like the "comments" tag in the miniviewer when a headline is selected. It used to automatically display comments in 2.9, but it is absent in 3.0. Even if it is not editable by users, I would like to maybe have the option of it being there. Thanks :)

Hi!

We are announcing Feedreader version 3.06. It's available for download from here.

What's new and changed in Feedreader 3.06

Opening folders is instant now. In previous versions FR always updated unread counts if folder was opened
Feedreader is more responsive then updating feeds.
Feedreader now memorizes opened folders. So you can have multiple folders open and on next startup they will also be open.
New state of feed available. If there are new items since last time you opened feed, it's icon will have small star in it.
Feedreader now defaults to one feed update process.If you want multiple feed update processes then it's possible to change this in program connection options.
Progress is visible when feed update is active.
If sending article by email all recipient addresses will be saved during the session (easy to send another article to same recipient)
If emailstyle.xsl exists in stylesheet folder then it's used as style when sending articles by email.
New options in notification window (how long notification window is displayed and also possibility to use fade in and out in notification window).
Possibility to mark all news in notification window as read.
Possibility to turn off automatic marking of newsitem read then viewing it. If you turn of automatic marking then you can use keyboard shortcut Control+q to mark article(s) read.
New feedreader.ini setup string : dbdirectory=???. If you would like to store main database in some other folder then you can use this definition to tell Feedreader where your database is located
Fixed bug - Google Mail Atom feed does not work.
Fixed bug - In earlier versions you just could not create really advanced filters (multiple levels). Now it should be possible
Fixed bug - Now it's possible to use unicode characters in smartfeed definitions.
Fixed multiple bugs - Unread count calculating.
Fixed multiple bugs – Memory leaks.
