What I mean is, when you open the settings of a smartfeed and then click OK the unread count of this one smartfeed becomes refreshed. So why don't make a shortcut in the context menu that makes the same thing...

"You mean that you want to recalc on startup?"

yes and no, more like that you can schedule or run a recalc in the background

think of it as a request... :-)

You mean that you want to recalc on startup? We could think about it. But currently if you hold Control key down while starting Feedreader it will recalculate unreadcounts. So till we think of these calculations please use one of two options (options > advanced or control key on startup).

Greetings
Toomas

Add
noautomaticviewrefresh=1

Add

noautomaticviewrefresh=1

to feedreader.ini under [misc] section. To be honest we had this setting inside Feedreader for a long time. Only problem was that I did not advertise it. If you input this configuration option then no refreshes will automatically made and you have to trigger refreshing from orange image.

tom,

could there be a parameter function that can do the re-calc of unread posts ? so you can run it your self, manually or schedule it :-)

When I change something on

When I change something on the rules, it takes less than one second to refresh the unread count in this smartfeed, maybe you could add something like a manual "Refresh count" option to the context menu or combine it with the existing "Update feed" option, so the user can decide if there are enough resources left to make a refresh...idk just a suggestion...

What really kills the performance is the daynamic refresh of the articles list when new articles arrive, there you should really let the users decide if they want that please... especially the ones who use this tool on old computers could profit a lot...

The webview is just perfect, it loads the newest articles one single time and then stops using resources till I refresh it and the next 500 newest articles are loaded. That's exactly how it should work with the list view too imho...

Unreadcounts while using

Unreadcounts while using filters with article age is problematic. This does not work and will never probably work. Problem is that if you add time filter to smartfeed then we have to refresh unread count of this filter every one minute to get it working right (because articles are expiring). But unreadcount calculation is not that simple thing - it uses processing power. And this makes overall performance to degrade.

I have a smartfeed to

I have a smartfeed to collect all unread messages older than one day. The unread count doesn't work just for this particular smartfeed for some reason.
The rules are,
Feed name / contains / XXXXXXX
Article age / is older than / 1 day
Status / is / Unread

Yet when I add a fourth rule,
Article age / is newer than / x days

then the count works correctly again and without any problems...

Yes I'm using big smartfeeds

Yes I'm using big smartfeeds with webview (count=500), but I had no problems with Feedreader just saw the error messages by chance... also these errors had appeared only for one day then they were gone...

I'm not sure but I think I added some new filter words that day, but after feedreader had become too slow cuz of that I removed some again...

Btw. is the filter not supposed to recognise the underscore "_" char as suchlike?

FR MYSQL beta

Ok first problem is, there is a green "My Archive" folder and when I delete it it's gone for a while, maybe an hour, but then it just comes back as if nothing happened???

And second thing is, you need to tell me PLEASE if it's a known bug that the left side dissapears or if it happens just on my machine because then I can search for the problem on my PC and don't need to bother you anymore with that problem.

I already reinstalled Internet Explorer upgraded it and so on, nothing changed though. What is it now?
